Video Production
It's hard to believe that it's been almost two full years since our 20th wedding anniversary, but it has. Sandi wanted to go back to Costa Rica, where she was inspired to write the song La Paz at La Paz Waterfall and Gardens just outside of San Jose. I picked up a DJI Phantom 4 drone and a DJI Osmo and shot a lot of the music video on those devices, along with my Samsung Galaxy Note7 when it was all I had handy.
I had to learn Adobe Premiere Pro, color correction, editing, all kinds of stuff... Photography has been a hobby of mine since the 7th grade, so it wasn't too hard to get started, but video is a whole 'nother thing.
Now that the album is done, it's time to shoot some more music videos. Next one is scheduled to take place in Breckenridge in just a few weeks. Time to start prepping and un-brick my remote controller!
I've also been taking some classes to improve my knowledge. I finished a crash course in After Effects a couple of months ago from www.schoolofmotion.com and am currently enrolled in Design Bootcamp. Look for many of those learnings to make their way into the next round of music videos.
The music video we shot in Costa Rica is all over the web site. Take a stroll over to www.sandisiegel.com if you're interested in having a look.
